Handfasting & Naming Ceremonies

Ceremonies and Rituals, tailor-made for your life journey.

Ritual has been all but lost in our western world, but it’s a wonderful way to bring real focus, awareness and love to an important event or person in your life.

Ceremony is a wonderful excuse to surround ourselves with friends, family and loved ones. Inviting these people to witness your experience reinforces the bonds between you all. The shared experience brings every one closer together, enhancing the feeling of friendship, commitment and creating a precious sense of community.

Ceremonies can be used to mark births, deaths and all stages in-between:-

• Birth or Naming of a child
• Adoption of a child
• First menses/puberty/adolescence
• Parenthood
• Grand-parenthood
• Handfasting - commitment of two (or more) people for a year and a day; a lifetime or eternity
• Re-Commitment to another, perhaps after a time of difficulty or change
• Losses and farewells
• Passing from Mother to Crone (the menopause)
• From Adult male to Elder
• Loss of a beloved animal friend
• To welcome in, and bring focus to a new project e.g. a community garden
• Change of career

Ritual and ceremony is a beautiful way to say farewell to a phase of your life or part of yourself whilst welcoming in the new; enabling yourself and those near to you to be part of the experience too.

I’m based in Sheffield, with the Peak District National Park on my doorstep. This whole area has a wonderful and powerful energy about it. If you are looking for a special place to celebrate ritual in Derbyshire or South Yorkshire, there are an abundance of beautiful, sacred and special sites. I’d love to help you find one suitable. But of course celebrations can be done indoors and I can help you bring the beauty of nature and the sacred into your space. Where ever you live, I can travel to you.
